MedImmune shortlisted for top science park award MedImmune, the biotechnology company based at Granta Park, has been shortlisted for the award for the most successful company on a science park.
Run by UKSPA (the UK Science Park Association) the award recognises companies that have demonstrated innovative thinking, the development of new technology, product or process, application of funding, exploitation of new markets and the creation of employment opportunities.
The company was nominated for the award by Roz Bird, Marketing and Asset Manager of Granta Park, and is just one of three companies selected for the shortlist. Says Roz: “MedImmune epitomises just what this award is about. In just eight years at Granta Park it has expanded from 20,000 sq ft of lab space to more than 180,000 sq ft of lab and office buildings. They also now employ 400 staff here.”

The winner will be announced at an awards dinner at the Museum of Science & Industry (MOSI), Manchester on 17 September.
